I am wanting to make a double hammock out of 1.1. Can anyone refer me to a lgood, & preferably cheap, source for 1.1 ripstop?

You can look for 2nds and get some less expensive stuff.

doh, thanks!!!
I have heard mention of folks making hammocks from polyester... Do I need to look for RIPSTOP Poly, or what? On the OWF site, I saw they had poly microfiber & poly cordura... I didnt know what was what. Just a passing interest in the poly... If I cuold get it for a comparable price, the color selection might be better.
Thx HC!

You should look for rip stop nylon. There is rip stop polyester out there, but it is not as easy to find as nylon

thx again HC!
I was in Hancock fabrics last week and they had 1.1 ripstop in every color of the rainbow, just fyi.
I am not blessed with one of those nearby. bah!
At my Hancock's I'm pretty sure it's 1.1 oz... it's a bit see-through, pretty light, and definitely uncoated although the weight of course isn't listed on the bolt.
At any rate I got some yesterday 'cuz it was $4.99 a yard for future quilt-making purposes (after my hammock-making purposes... and now my girlfriend wants one too so I got two to make!)
i got some hunter green 1.5 oz polyester from owf, they told me it was 1.1 nylon when i ordered it, now their site lists several 1.4 oz ripstops, wonder if they might be polyester too.
