Is there really a difference between the many parachute material hammocks?

I know eno is the one you see in almost every camping store and you hear alot about. but I mean if I can get a grand trunk double for less than the eno double should I get it. I know there are hammock bliss double and trek light and ticket to the moon and probly more of the same type. I was just wondering if anyone knows if they are all pretty much the same?

At one point it seemed like they might be made in the same factory. Not sure about the truth of that but it seemed that way.

I got an off-brand one for $16 (actually I bought 2) that someone on here found back in the day, and it is longer and larger than the TTM/Trek Light, etc. ones. Made it more difficult to get comfortable on a hammock stand.

I own ENO's, Hammock Bliss and a company called Trek Hamaca. They are all on par in terms of quality. I did see a parachute style hammock in a store by a company called Vivere that was pretty cheap but when I examined it, it was not in the same league. The coloured sections were all equal so you'd end up laying on the seams. The seams themselves were only single stitched as well.

If they are made by more well known companies and are in the same vicinity in price, then there is not much difference from my experience.

thats what I thought. I just dont see the point in paying 30 more for the same hammock you know.

I have a GT double, and can't tell any difference between it and my ENO. They are both supremely comfy.

after having come in contact with multiple enos(singles and doubles), my hammockbliss double and my happy johnny single (ebay for less than $20 shipped) ive come to determine its not hard to mass-produce a quality parachute hammock. As far as size goes, Ive been pretty hard pressed not to find the dimensions of the fabric on any sellers site YMMV.
    ...in it for pics.

I have a Grand Truck Double and a Eno DN. While both are very comfortable I can tell the difference in the materials. The Eno has a softer feel too it.
