I'm back - put me down!
I'm finishing up an RV Roundup at Ink's Lake on 7 -10 Oct. Just talking to Lillian about dropping the trailer at home, throwing the ruck in the truck and heading for Fairfield. Put me down as likely, but still have to work the bugs outta the calendar.
I was planning on visiting some friends in San Antonio the first week of November, put me down for an "I'm Interested!"
Missed the first two -- count us in on this one. Hopefully inclement weather won't make everyone else abandon ship this time
I guess I will go ahead and put myself on the 'interested' list and I'll see if I can make it work out.
It's great to see folks interested and committing! I can't wait.
I'll be off-line for the week - summer camp with about 70 teens - and when I get back I'll update the list.
In the meantime, what would you all like to do this year?
Group buys? Dutch Oven cook off? DIY workshop? Wilderness First Aide lessons? Bush Craft stuff like cordage and friction fires? ???????
(So glad that this next week of camp is in an air-conditioned cabin, but bringing hammocks too. )
i am sure that things will change between now and then, and I am sure this happens to some extent anyway, is to visit with all that I can, check out their setup and visit with them about their thought process and evolution of their setup.
With all the hangers that should be there, it sounds like a wonderful, hands-on learning experience for a noob like me and I wouldn't want to miss that.
I've always wanted to learn to do a friction fire...must be the pyro in me. I also missed out on all the cool scout stuff like orienteering My wife and I are both interested in learning the dutch oven method of cooking...wilderness first aid is always a useful skill to have in your brain....
....you know what? Put me down for E - all of the above.
Extra "style" points will be awarded to those who bring their name tags from last year!
