    Not what was advertised

I ordered a Switchback single layer and received it today. I am disappointed because it didn't come with 6' whoopie slings and 6' tree straps as advertised,it came with rope thru each channel and 2 SMC rings on each end. I just e-mailed Dale and I hope he makes this right.

That happened to another member here as well who was under the impression that it was supposed to come with whoopies and webbing.

You should have contacted them rather than posting this IMO. They are great guys and will work with you totally. Give them a chance first to correct it.

I can understand your frustration, but the public flogging shouldn't begin until after you have exhausted all reasonable attempts to settle your grievance.

To be fair to the OP I do not think he is not flogging or condemning anyone. To me it was a simple statement of fact with an expression of disappointment. I told the member who contacted me to contact Dale first as well. Maybe he should have waited until he heard back from Dale but give him a break. It's not unreasonable to express your frustration in a civil way.

    Not what intended

This wasn't intended to cause problems. I was just stating a problem which I encountered. I have had problems getting my emails answered with this order. I have ordered from them in the past and never had problems before. I was just wondering if anyone else has had this problem. Please forgive me for asking.

    its a hard call:

on one side you want to inform the rest of the forum as to what happened, and to double check with any given vendor on how items are shipping and with what stock components.

on the other... yes, perhaps its best to deal with personal order mishaps quietly with the vendor.

either way... i didn't read the op post as a flog. disappointed, sure. i, as a potential switchback buyer, am glad the 'issue' was mentioned, and will be sure now to check and see if manufacturing and stock are as described on any given vendors site.

these are small cottage industries. maintaining stock, designing, building, website creation, all ends of the business, are generally handled by a very small team of a few people.

I agree with Southpaw and Dutch. Give you should give them a chance to make things right before you condemn them in public. I can also understand your frustration. Give it some time.,
