    Hanging in MN

Hi all. First off a big thanks to everyone here for all the info I've gleaned in the last month. Bought a eno dn and some slap straps. Threw the straps out after five minutes of dragging butt and got some WS. I'm in my garage as I type this and it's a bit chilly here in north mn so I'm trying out my BA synloft pad and Kelty down bag. I have to say I'll never sleep on the dirt again! Now of I can just convince my wife to hang....

Thanks again, you guys are great.
    Dan

Just give her some time in the hammock. It won't take long before she becomes a convert!!

Let her lay in your hammock. That's all it took to get mine to want one. Welcome to HF from a fellow Minnesotan!

Lol I guess it didn't take much. Ten minutes ago she looked at the set up, laid in it and said, "this is what we should be sleeping in after paddling and portaging all day!" You guys were right on the money! Add one more to the converted!

Welcome aboard from Florida. Still working on mine also.
Most of us end up poorer here but richer for being here. Olddog, Fulltime hammocker, 365 nights a year.

One mistake I made was letting her pick out all her gear. I was planning on using her gear as backup gear/ friend gear. But, now if my friends need to borrow something, I have a beautiful hot pink hammock and purple backpack for them.

Why does it always sound like we're trying to convience our wives/girlfriends/significant others do something dirty that only takes place in back rooms of unmarked seedy night clubs or in a suburb where everyone is just a bit too friendly?
