Hoosier Nat. Grubb Ridge/Peninsula Trail 7-16

Short notice, but Salamander42 and I are planning to hit the trail this weekend. Hangers in the area are welcome to join us…ground dwellers will be subject to pity and mild ridicule.

We're tentatively planning on hiking in from the Grubb Ridge Loop trailhead in the Charles Deam Wilderness of Hoosier National Forest and heading in the general direction of the Peninsula trail. We’re leaving Indianapolis around 2pm, give or take, so our arrival at the trailhead could be around 4 to 5pm.

    Gratuitously harvested map images:

Dutch: Hammock is probably more weight but who wants to lay on the ground? I pee on the ground.

He specifically mentioned that he hopes you'll be there to off load some of your harvest.

Can't make it this weekend but certainly interested in future opportunities. Really enjoy the Deam.

Jerry, it'd be awesome if you could bring that bamboo along. Sorry I never made it down to pick it up before now. I'll make your wife a flute too to make up for leaving it in your garage for so long. Maybe I'll cut a couple of pieced down at the trail head and see if I can manage to make a flute or two in camp on Saturday night.

We had a good hike. I didn't snap too many pics, but I'll get them up as soon as I can, along with a trip report. . . Those who know me know that it'll probably be the better part of a week, if not a full week. I may just add to Sinister's trip report since he'll probably beat me to it.
