Mount Magazine S.P. Arkansas 13 Aug

Aug 13 is hump day...the day that mean daily temps in this part of the world finally begin to cool. It is also near the peak of the Perseid meteor shower and the full moon.

Mt. Magazine is ~2500'msl, and runs a little cooler than surrounding areas. The SP has shore power, so fans are encouraged. One night (Saturday), but I will get there Friday and secure necessary sites...come early if'n ur feelin' frisky.

    Let's do it!

Wish I could make it, but already booked that weekend. Enjoy.

We were up there yesterday (Saturday). was very nice and the temps were comfy. We took a look at Cove Lake as your driving up the mountain. Lots of camp areas (really like camp B section) and no one there... great for canoeing / kayaking... The temps were nice there also, about the same as on top. Lots of shade. $10. a night.

Sounds great -- but I'm already committed that weekend. Sorry. Save a spot for me next time!!!

The road goes ever on and on Down from the door where it began. Now far ahead the Road has gone, And I must follow, if I can, Pursuing it with weary feet, Until it joins some larger way, Where many paths and errands meet. And whither then? I cannot say.

I never should have commented. Now I'm subscribed and see each additional post.

It's killing me. Folks I like to hang with going to a place I'd like to go, within my normal driving range, and I can't go. Grrrrrr

Have a great time, take pics, and come to Texas in November and tell me all about it.

Will this be a family friendly event? I will have my 5 year old girl that weekend. We would both love to attend.
