MASS. May 4th to 6th. Mohawk Trail. Car Camping

I am starting this new thread as a lot of newer members may not be aware of NEHHA (New England Hammock Hangers Association) and the group hang coming up in Mass. this spring.

EVENT: Second Annual Spring NEHHA Hang.

    DATES: May 4th to 6th.

LOCATION: Mohawk Trail State Forest. Group Site 1. http://www.mass.gov/dcr/parks/western/mhwk.htm

Please read all rules and regulations regarding this campsite.

    All are welcome. Even tenters!!
Its car camping with surrounding hiking trails.
As of yet we haven't organized any group food events but that may change.
I vote for "best steak tips" competition.

I don't know if I can make the southern Hammocksburg hang, no date set yet.

So put me down for a maybe for this one.

Keep me on the list as a maybe. My surgery may or may not get postponed.

===>Awesome! I can't go to sleep without the dolefull sound of the Bagpipes in the evening. Plus, it sends any bears within a five mile radius running!!

Put me down for potentially one more. Might be able to coax a friend along for this one!

I camped there once....lots of bears.

Thankfully the kids didn't bring any food in the tent.

I second the bear thing. I camped there on many occasions when I kayak the dearfield river. The bears are brasin too. You must keep your food locked up or suffer the consequences. I might make this hang if it's a release weekend. I'll let you know
