Who can tell me about gear lofts

I am planning to get my first Hammock, most likely a Hennessy (I work for REI so discount)
Can I get a gear loft or pockets for a light and book or such things.

I am not sure if all Hennessy Hammock models come with the same stuff...but I bought a Hennessy Expedition and it had a gear bag and two hooks that hang on the ridgeline. There are also these bags that hang from a ridgeline that you can purchase, by 2QZQ, called Peak bags in case you did not know. Oh yea they also sell a gear organizer as well. Nice stuff. GL!

All hennessy's I have seen have a "gear loft" its a simple half circle of netting fabric connected at two points to the ridge line. Worked plenty good for me to store me phone, cigarettes, and head lamp, but not much more. Deffinetly not a book.

You could make a new one yourself to your size standards, pretty simple. Or 2qzq make a ridge line organizer the a good bit larger and for a fair price. They also make a gear organize with 4 large pockets that is my favorite piece of gear. I fit everything I bring usually that's not being used in it. I usualy clip it around a tree or you could clip it to your ridge line. I can attest of the great quality from them and that it is worth way more to me than $25 and 2oz. Its also replaced up to 4 stuff stacks for me so I'm actually saving weight with a multi use item.

Wags, the hennessy's do have ridge lines. You can think of them like blackbirds without the shelf or footbox. Some smaller, some bigger.

My Deep Jungle XL Zip Has pocket, on the ridgeline. Plus Two hooks. Get the Zip, IMHO a better product.

I am not sure you need them, head lamp and a piss bottle... that's it!

^ I'd rather get up for the second one, but HYOH...

I have an Expedition and the pouch on the ridge line is perfect. I keep my knife, keys, lighter, smokes in there, larkshead my head lamp onto the ridge line and disco. The hooks are there, but with what I have in my hammock with me at night, I haven't used them yet... You may.

I will vouch for Hennessy and say that I'm quite happy with mine. I will likely be looking at a WBBB, but that's mostly due to my height.
