I'd be interested, but my workweek requires me to work Saturdays. Would it be possible to do it on the 24-25th? If not, I don't think I can get this Saturday off with so little notice.

I'd be interested in about 6 months

My Florida camping is limited to the 6 months of semi-summer (October - March). Right now it's "gear making season" for me. I usually take 1 or 2 trips to cooler climes during the summer. I just got back from the Cantabrian mountains in northern Spain - it was cool (literally).

Why is there always something? Saturday is the wife's birthday. My life depends on being here that day.

You've got it all wrong, the night before you give her the birthday present you got for her, a weekend getaway to a spa for just her. You get to hang, and she gets to be pampered while thinking your the best husband of all time.

But otherwise beautiful place to camp, went there when I was barely a teenager living in FL.

I'm with Mike, this is my first summer in the last five years We haven't spent in Maine. I'm not doing to well in the heat & humidity and I was born & raised here. Just work on kit till the fall, and hang every night.
Most of us end up poorer here but richer for being here. Olddog, Fulltime hammocker, 365 nights a year.

    Hot, hot, hot

I too am trying to hold out until the early fall before I hit the trail again. I am trying to get some friends together to do some paddling in your neck of the woods next month (Suwanee, Santa Fe, St Mary's, etc). I don't mind the heat so much if I can plunge off into the water every so often.

Of course I'm planning to start re-sodding my yard this weekend.....yeah. I'd rather be campin'

I've been putting that off for months. I fear I'll have to break down and order sod soon.
