    Underquilt material?

What is the recommended material for a 3 season uq for a hammock? Is a hammock suppose to be breathable like a sleeping bag to not trap moisture. Could you use 1.9 ripstop that is down friendly, or do you need to use the 1.1 silnylon with the water resistance? Just curious as I line up my next few weeks of projects and get the materials ordered. Thanks for any info. I did see Jeff's instructions and like the layout and may make one like his in the future.

Momentum is enough. I just did an UQ with 1/2 Momentum and 1/2 cuben fiber.

downproof ripstop is all you need...

most ripstop has a DWR coating on it already so as long as you don't dunk it in a river.. it will be nice and dry
It puts the Underquilt on it's hammock ... It does this whenever it gets cold

1.9 rip will be heavier, and not as friendly to pack, versus 1.1.
If your making a quilt for backpacking, calendered ripstop in 1.1 is the norm. DWR is a bonus, but not needed. Any of the technofabrics just add to the cost and do not increase the actual function of the quilt, IMO.
