great trip. spent a week there as a scout in 1994. sailed from key largo to keywest and back. wish i would have known about hammocks back then. it would have made the trip alot more comfortable.

My son saw the sebase on the scouting for Adventure show and wants to go. Might try to swing something in the next couple of years. Looks like it could be fun.
I saw a couple of no net hammocks there. No bugs?

Those guys bought bug nets at the main base as soon as we paddled back over! No see-ums and skeeters galore once the sun goes down. Warned them about it beforehand but sometimes boys gotta learn the hard way.
