Miyo Baby Hammock DIY?

Has anyone on here reverse engineered one of these? Looks like it could be approximated with a narrow gathered end hammock with the ends together and a spreader bar.

That is too cool. I am sending this link to my wife to prove to her that hammocks are safe for newborns. She is adamant that our 6 day old will not sleep in a hammock.

Yeah, a the fiance of my hiking partner sent me asking if I'd heard anything about these, being a crafty hammock camper and all.

It looks simple to make, then again looks can be deceiving. Here's a similar one I was actually thinking of making.

It reminds me of the Bat Hammock (already a link posted above in this thread). I've made a really basic proof of concept for an adult version. I have to say, it was really cool to sleep in, and perfectly flat. I was trying to figure out how to make a backpacking version, but finding a limb strong enough and high enough (high enough was the key) made it impractical. It was however EXTREMELY comfortable. Can you guys perfect one? Took me about an hour to throw together my concept model (not ready for prime time).
