i'm planning a sobo thru-hike beginning at the end of june. i am new to hammocking and am still getting used to it, but have begun to consider ditching the tent and just using my hammock for the trek. any tips or advice for a newbie??

greetings Kaemac. i'm just south of W-S & NCpatrick lives in W-S, so there are at least a couple hammockers close by that can help w/ demos if you need.

I'm planning on using my hammock for my '09 thur of the A.T. The ground is no longer an option. I'd say come check out my set up but alas there seems to be a small number of hammockers in the great white north, or at least in Manitoba. Welcome.
