What is the lightest option for a bugnet on an ENO? My son and I are heading out this Friday and my hammock has a bug net, I still need to get one for his.
thanks for any thoughts on this,
Keith

ive seen some videos from professor hammock, it was more to reduce weight of a spreader bar type of hammock but he reduced the bugnetting to only the upper part....with thoughts of using some sort of blanky quilt or coverage of some sort over lower part. he also had ties to it so it would cover up to his sternum
I'm a Hammocker stuck in a tenter's body.....
For a full size bugnets there's the Wilderness Logics bugnet and the Warbonnet Outdoors bugnet (which Brandon does not have instock right now).
Don't let life get in the way of living.
I sewed some netting (organza or tulle) allong one side of the end and draped it over the ridgeline. That's all you really need. I put a zipper along the other side, but it isn't necessary. And if you don't have a sewing machine, just cut a length and drape it over the RL. Before I sewed it on, I clipped it to the RL with some wooden clothes pins. Easy peasy.
It's better to be lucky, than good!
I have tried the bug nets and just can't do it seems to take away any breeze you might get I have been useing a therma-cell and it does great
I made my own TED bug net out tulle after watching lady Pips' excellent video
It weighs next to nothing and is extremely easy to setup and get in/out of.
I made a detachable top for it though.
I personally don't like having anything in my face while laying in the hammock so I made a separate ridge/hang line for it above the hammock ridge line.
total cost for the project was around $10.00
I made mine as a precaution for those instances when I may venture into bug ridden territory.
The entire setup fits in its 8'x5" carrying case.
ps: I use a Grand Trunk hammock which is very similar to the ENO.

Happy Hanging ....
LeDude ...
I bought the eno bugnet yesterday for my son's double nest. It was 48.95. Any eno retailer should keep them in stock.
