    I frequently have things mailed to me in them....so they are free. Cut the side and bottom to open them up and they make a good sheet when you want to sit on a damp surface...tape two together for a doormat under your hammock, etc.

    For our backpacking tents our troop uses pieces of Tvek as the vapor barrier. I took a piece of the scrap and made me a mat for under my hammock.

    Yup. Tyvek is my go to ground cloth for Philmont. Great stuff to protect your tent and to just roll the whole set taken down in and strap to the side if the pack. I can't get into the whole multiple stuff sacks thing for shelter systems anymore.
