Love the blaze orange. Good idea. I've never been one for the color while hiking (love it other times--like running), but with hunting "accidents" on the rise, that will be changing soon.
Fronkey are you hiding a cake under that beenie?
Yosemite Sam: Are you trying to make me look a fool?
Bugs: You don't need me to make you look like a fool.
Yosemite Sam: Yer deerrrnnn right I don't!
It's actually a pie. lol
The hat covers my ears, which is normally exactly what I want to keep me nice and toasty. However, when I'm trying to listen to deer walking in the woods I need to put the hat up because I can't hear a thing when it's covered.
It was great to sleep with it on because it was so quiet I fell asleep in no time at all.

We had 25mph winds the entire time out there hunting. It was actually pretty awful and my lips got such windburn as I've never felt. But, that had was like a heater keeping me warm the whole time.
One of my favorite things about the hat is the inner layer is made from 7D fabric and it is so incredibly soft that I am going to buy some more of it and make a top quilt out of. They really did their homework with this hat. I love it!

We've exhausted the Extreme Hanging Challenge portion of this thread, and the contest is over. If we're going to discuss the gear or the trip report, we should most likely move those to their own threads in their (more) appropriate forums.

This should not be a surprise to anyone by now. Good conversation is always encouraged in the appropriate forums.
