    No hardware SLS

First off I would like to thank headchang4u for the original posts on the trucker's hitch suspension and the SLS suspension. Last month catavarie asked about a no hardware SLS which set the wheels in motion. This variation consist of four continuous loops of amsteel, 1@40",1@30" and 2@ 20".The two 20" have a short piece of plastic tube placed to protect the amsteel. The main line is currently 40' long and will probably shortened. The trucker's hitch loops are inboard of the hammock loops and under load work in opposition to each other locking them in place. The weight of the amsteel components is 4oz with the 40' main line, with my 2 hugger straps the weight is 8oz. With the new hammock I'm working on at 8oz that puts my hammock and suspension at 16oz even. Much better than my 1st diy H&S at 49.8oz. I haven't field tested the system yet but do 4 to 5 hours nap testing.

Not yet, was just testing indoors on the stand. Will see what I can do today.

Thanks for the pictures. Nice rig you have there. Gives me ideas for some more possible mods for my ENO DN.

Thanks for the challenge olddog! I was happy with my suspension which comes in at 5.6 oz - I must brush complacency aside and work on this!

Mod#1 on the No Hardware SLS. Found out while test hanging outdoors for pics that the plastic tubing protectors weren't up to the job. This morning added leather protectors to trucker hitch prussics and hugger straps.
