Accidentally found out hammocks were cool

One day while I was wasting time on the internet I discovered the ENO DoubleNest. I thought, hey, that might be fun to take on day hikes and car camping with the girlfriend. At the time I had no idea people backpacked with these things. After seeing a video Shug did about his solo hike on the Superior hiking trail I got all the way stoked about the idea of replacing my tent with a hammock. I'll be doing my first hammock camping adventure in September! Can't wait!

Shugs videos have been the start of many hanging addicts. Hope you enjoy your first hang...I had a rough time my first night because I was ill informed but HF turned that around and made my hanging awesome! Read every piece of info you can and you will have a great experience. Theres veteran hangers and hikers here that can answer any question you might have.
Every time I hang in a tree I get a coconut to the head.....stupid coconuts

Next thing you know you will be laying in bed with your iPod reading the forums until the wee hours. Just like I'm doing now. Welcome to the club!
