    That monstrosity was a large sticky/frosted raisin bun. He made it half way through that, then ate about 1/4 of my big pot of oat porridge too. He's a growing lad.

    I like the idea of using the vehicle as an additional wind break- excellent use of available resources..

    But seriously, yeah, once we knew the weather was turning bad it seemed like the best thing to do

    serious! if you are sitting in a wind tunnel, or at the end of a road, you might need a windbreak like that! especially if the forecast is that bad..you say the wind was coming from over the hill, but it could change direction. (in my case it almost always does..)
