I came across this olive green Tactel fabric;
This is around the 2oz/sqm mark I've been told, so its about right for a single layer for me.
I've never used anything with Tactel, but my google fu has found some desirable properties for use in hammocks ;-
Very soft next to the skin,
I'm not sure if its windproof or not, or how slippery it is.
Its presently used in 1000 mile socks as the hardwearing wicking liner, underwear and sleeping bags as the liner fabric.
My Pertex hammocks feel warmer and more comfortable than my parachute nylon jobs, I'm assuming because Pertex is highly wicking.
Has anyone worked with this stuff before or used it in existing gear?
Any insight would be well appreciated from the great HF hivemind before I take a punt on it
Thanks in advance, Pete.
