    Seattle Fabric store

Well, I made a tour of downtown Seattle area, stopping by several stores, one of which being Seattle Fabric store. Needed some tie outs for the Warbonnet Superfly that came in the mail yesterday, along with my Blackbird. I was amazed at how much they could possibly stock in such a small store! I wish all fabric stores were like this fine example. Floor to ceiling rolls of various textiles, and so many choices of ripstop nylons etc. This thread isn't really a DIY so much, as to say, I wish we had more of these types of stores. None of the fluffy crud (If you like making fancy stuff, go ahead, just not around me ) that you see at other stores. Anyway's, thanks for listening, had to share, back to your regularly scheduled programming.

I'm lucky if the fabric stores in my area have 5 rolls of ripstop nylon in 3 varying colors.

Yeah they are. I actually posted looking for someone that might want to pick up something for me and was willing to ship it to me from they. They wanted to charge me $15 shipping for 2 yards of fabric. But they have nice stuff.

I stop by time to time for some of their materials. They don't stock any lightweight ripstop's though if that's what you want. They've got some really nice 30d stuff and some 1.1oz non coated and 1.3oz coated plus lots of 1+ and 2- ripstops. Their "Ultra-sil" is mismarked though and actually just double coated sil which is still nice. They used to have a roll of dark purple "ultrasil" which was actually ultrasil but that was it. Lots of really cool heavy weight materials for packs, tarps and other things like hammocks.

I bug them everytime I'm in to stock something ultralight and they tell me they may one day try to stock some 15 or 20d materials which would be simply awesome!
