Can't go wrong with the 3S Phoenix. Easy to adjust, great workmanship, and awesome customer service from Hammock Gear. I ended up going 3/4 as I usually carry a small piece of doubled over reflectix in my pack for sitting on / pack pad and I can use it under my feet.

I notice all other brands are 800 fill goose down and you use 900 fill. Can you elaborate a little on how much weight difference there is between the two or stuff size. Also are you willing to make custom lengths or do you have set lengths/widths?

The reason I ask is.. I believe 60 inches would cover me from the top of my shoulders to the bottom of my feet and as far as width goes I dont come close to filling up the NX-250 i have. I weigh roughly 175lbs. Just trying to get full coverage without having to carry a pad and saving as much bulk and weight as possible. Sorry for asking so many questions but you asnwers helping!

The difference between 800 and 900 is basically just how well it traps air in the void. You can get the the same temp rating with less 900 than you would need with 800. We conservatively rate our quilts and use 900 down. They pack down quite small.

If you can find a Speer Snugfit, it is shaped and sized perfectly for the NX250 and it uses the velcro already installed on the NX250. It is as if it were made specifically for the Clark and they work beautifully. I put a foam pad inside my hammock and my Snugfit underneath and camped in well below zero weather (don't know exactly how cold it got). Had a -20 sleep bag, too. Down to the the mid 20's, you don't need a pad with it if you are using a decent sleeping bag over you.
