Yah eh, you betcha from da UP!

Geez, I've been a real slacker when it comes to introducing myself...

I hail from the Upper Peninsula of Michigan where we eat pasties, smoked fish, and rhubarb pie every day. Hockey sticks sprout up naturally in everyone's backyard and pucks fall from the trees like acorns!

I found this site through recommendations on backpackinglight.com when I decided to start using a hammock as my primary shelter. I've now been wandering around hammock forums for almost 2 months just trying to soak in all the information. I've made 4 DIY hammocks, 3 DIY bugnets, and 2 bishop bags so far. I have a number of other projects in the works too. And I just learned to sew a month ago!!! DIY is soooo dangerously addictive...

Thanks to y'all for doing whatever it is that you do. Hammock Forums is a great place and I'm glad to be a part of it!

Welcome aboard. Yeah gear making is down right dangerously addictive.

Mmmm, pasties. I may need to make a road trip now. Yes, DIY is addictive, and very gratifying knowing you did it, and you can do it again as soon as you come up with that next great idea. Anyway, welcome!

You guys are gonna have to 'splain this to this ole Texas boy. Around here, pasties are them things that women wear on a certain part of their breast at establishments called, "men's clubs".

Now while I can appreciate where you are going with all this, I can't seem to figure out how you are getting past or through the bouncers to do this sort of thing?????

    Do tell!
