New uses for the Eno throwaway parts...

As I was digging through my gear to decide what to bring on our (My son's troop and I) 20mi backpacking trip on the Pinhoti this weekend. I happened to skim by the two insanely heavy carabiners that I took off of my Double nest before I ever used it.
I was also looking for some 550 to hang bear bags/ and packs, if necessary. I also remember our recent trip to the AT in NC and watching scouts hang bear bags.

Your carabiner is too light to throw a line over a limb so you climb the tree and have someone throw the carabiner to you.....Right?

These bad boys are so heavy, they may be worth the weight in the pack for bear bag duty.....So the scouts don't have to do this.....

What are you using yours for? How about those Crap strap pros?

Crap straps make good gear organizers for car camping...just take a bunch of carabiners with you, strap those puppies around a tree and hang whatever you want from all of the loops.

+1 This is exactly what I do. I don't like putting my gear on the ground.
Just think of crap straps as tree huggers with lots of loops.

wow great idea for the crap straps. I was wondering how I could use those so they wouldn't be a waste of cash.

Thanks for the ideas. I have been seriously wondering what I can do with my slap straps. I really wish I had read up on them before i purchased them.
