had a great couple nights haning in IN

Got back a couple hours ago and I gotta say I'm hooked I loved hanging in the woods I'm hooked still need to work on my suspension and fix the bug netting I ripped(falling out of the hammock into a river) while I was camping at a "regular" campground before I headed out to the NF. 3 days total the first at whiteriver campgrounds sucked bad no good pairs of trees the only ones even close were right on the river sagged so much I was on the ground in no time and even though I put down a ground tarp rain leaked in got no sleep that night though mostly that was cause of the generator noise till like 3am and the flood lights shined right on my tarp i was more than a bit discouraged then I mad it out to the forest hiked out and found a good pair of trees about 300feet from the path I was up sitting by the fire most of the night but slept perfectly untill midday rocking in a slight breeze the next day I had to head back to the car for more water (and then decided to go get ice it got over 100 every day i was out) and ended up camping at the trail head campsite there was a family staying a few sites over but aside from saying hello and asking them to turn their van around(so the speakers in the back pointed at them not me) we left each other alone and it was all good so yea I'm hooked on hangin and can't wait to get out again

Nice to hear. Sometimes it takes a few goes to really fit but when it does ... nothing like it.

You know what they say "A bad night in a hammock is better than anything else."
I would feel more optimistic about a bright future for man if he spent less time proving that he can outwit Nature and more time tasting her sweetness and respecting her seniority. - E. B. White (1899 - 1985)

you know veto65 thats true even while I was at the campground more or less on the ground I was still far more comfy than if I had just a tent and pad prolly was better than most of the air mattresses I've tried
