Hey there Juice! Welcome
I, for one, really dislike hiking in my own water at Wildcat - and that path is really going to be a mud pit again (if those of you who came last time remember the muddy hike in) if it's raining in November (which isn't unlikely). But if you're looking for minimal hike, that's a good place to do it. There's some nice space at that road to park.
I've never been to Shawnee, but I remember Tendertoe saying that the hike is pretty challenging. I don't know much about the forest roads though - that could be manageable. If there's something nice and close for those who don't want the hike, my vote is with Shawnee That is for a November hang.

I vote Shawnee in November. Don't know my schedule yet, MAY be changing employers (Interview in just over an hour) so will wait n see.
Hint about Shawnee: get a hiker's map AND one of the horse rider's maps. Neither show all the trails & there are some rough sections the hikers trail take that the horse ones avoid, & vice versa. Both are decent Topo maps. ALSO, per the rangers: Park at the ranger's station NOT in the hiker parking lot as they have had quite a bit of vandalism in the past. It will add about 1/2 mile each way to your hike, but when there last time, a truck had both side windows busted out.
I agree with the previous posts, Shawnee is a bit (a LOT?) rougher hiking compared to "Z" but has the benefit of natural water along the way. Or at least did last time I was there.

I'm still waiting for pictures!

Yes, as a fellow Ohioan I would like to see pictures . I am from the lovely Cincinnati area and was a little late to this thread.
I didn't get any shots of this hang, anyone else?
