That excuse still doesn't help make the case.

I called Eno about the Reactor today and the guy said the size is between the single and double. He also said these would be available through REI first in February and through their site in March.
they are also bringing out a redesigned bug net.
The pictures on the ENO website look like they copied Risk's Zhammock. I used one I made for years until it started showing wear at the gathered ends and I was afraid it would rip on me. Didn't have a machine or anyone to sew at that time so I didn't make a new one. It was my favorite of all my hammacks I have used. I discovered I have a preference for an open top and that Zhammock really kept the pad from slipping out from under me.
My HH Explorer was good but it ended up being my summer hammock and the Zhammock with my Frost's Neat pad my cooler months bed of choice. Sold the HH eventually and have enjoyed the versitility of the open top year round ever since. I have thought about turning my single or double into a Zhammock many times but never got around to it. This has got me thinking about doing it again. Just might have to mod my single!

Here in sunny FL my insulation needs are not near as big as say Shug's needs in wintertime MN!

I received an email today from ENO's Director of Customer Relations:
Hello. Thanks for writing into us! We have been made aware of the manufacturing issue with some of the Reactor hammocks and are currently addressing the issue. I don’t have an exact ETA as to when the Reactor will be available, but it more than likely will be a couple months before we have them again. We apologize for any inconvenience and hopefully you can wait patiently for us to have a resolution Thanks for supporting ENO and for sharing your input. We really appreciate it! Just let me know if you have any other questions. Happy hanging!
I love my ENO Doubles (have several of them) and they cradle my 220# 6'2" bulk so I like a sedated baby. I deal with CBS most times by zipping my sleeping bag "around" the hammock like a full coccoon. This can be somewhat restrictive to a full diagonal lay though and when I saw the Reactor I thought my quest for cold weather hangs was solved.
Read the specs ye tall ones...
At 5' 6" across there is NO WAY you will sleep even near flat without your feet, and lower legs, falling from the hammock. It's just not possible to get a good "foot pocket" on the diagonal, and sleeping along the centerline is... well we all know about that.
Warm, heck yeah! If I was under 6' this would definitely be a "go to" hammock.
By the way, I stuffed it with a REI Airrail 1.5 self inflating sleeping pad. I've no doubt it would handle sub-zero temps with the right over quilt (sleeping bag, quilt, blanket, etc.)
Great hammock , just not for the longer legged of us...
