Pa AT section hike 8/12-8/13. Port Clinton to Pa 309

Heading out to do a little over 25 miles over two days. If the weather is good I will try to camp around Dan’s Pulpit, and if it’s bad I will stop at Eckville shelter (heavy thunder storms). I know it’s short notice but if anybody is interested I be glad to have the company.
    Peace,
    Gris

I would have gone with you but I have concrete coming this weekend....new porch/sidewalk work....ask again, maybe next time.

There are some nice stealth hammock spots at the Pinnacle...PM me for more detail.

Wow, that is a crazy hang. I don't know how well I would sleep hanging like that.

I was just considering hanging at the pinnacle, and 2q has now reminded me of the awesome spots up there!

Sorry Hanging with Dutch at 501!

Thats a really cool section. I have run the whole thing in a day and it is fun (except for the climb from 61), especially once you get past the pinnacle overlook and all the tourist. Have a great hike and give us some advance notice next time. I hit that area at least once a month for a run around the loop formed by the AT and a blue blazed side trail above the Hamburg Resevoir if your interested. We are going to 501 with Dutch, GLP and others tonight. So we will be on the same hill in the same weather .

Ah...it's not really that bad. The picture angle makes all the difference. I'm actually hanging over a pretty level rock table....but it makes for a great picture!

    Whoops, wrong date

I need to learn to read I guess. Doesnt matter though, we have a family picnic that we have already dedicated the 12th to. Would have loved to hiked it though, next time.
