They just got a hard rain last night, but as long as you approach from the north via Rt. 206 and Carranza Road, you should be good. I'll probably be down there next week for a little hike and hang, so I'll check out the conditions. I tried the approach from the east via Speedwell/Friendship road, and that road blows.

And just for the idiots out there (like me), enter the Batona camp site from far left or far right - don't enter in the center. This idiot (i.e., me) did that, and as Silent Orpheus will tell you, it can be like quicksand. The bumper of my rental car ripped off when Silent Orpheus pushed me out. Luckily, a Piney Samaritan miraculously arrived and together he and Silent Orpheus reattached my bumper!

What? NOooooo. You will be missed but you will always be a part of the hang, that is if you don't get your spatula before you leave.

I'll be posting road conditions as we get closer.

The memory of XexorZ can live on in New Jersey forever and ever in the best way possible... in the forum of his trusty Spatula... the best **** spatula I've ever owned! May it flip many burgers and do other things worthy of it's spatuladom (wha??)

We'll miss you this year, sir. But one can only hope you're moving for good reasons, and wish you the best.

And I shall endeavor to use your spatula to make blueberry pancakes in your honor.

    Cheers!

Hey, I offered to share last year when Xexorz and I made pancakes. I think LazyRR took us up on our offer. You were busy sitting by the fire looking grumpy and waiting for water to boil, I think.

Sometimes I like to hike and think, And sometimes I just like to hike.

Hiking is'ent about waiting for the storm to pass its about learning to hike in the rain.

    No jinx

Hopefully this won't jinx me but it looks like I'll be able to make it for Saturday into Sunday!

I'll be bring some brews and a buddy who has never been hanging before (hopefully I have enough gear to keep him from freezing!)

Any one interested in taking a hike to check out a few old Tom Brown shelters that have been out there for 20+ years?

Wait a minute, who is going to help tow out my car when I get stuck this year? You can't go to Washington. Congrats on the relocation.
