    First Night Hang!

My son and I on our first hang outside for his crossover to boyscouts! We had a great time. We ended up hanging both asym stock tarps over us so we could stay on the same 2 trees. I think we need a bigger tarp! lol. Some spreader bars would be helpful too! All in all we had a great time, stayed toasty warm. Thanks to TATO for the Poncho liner! Once we tweek a few things I think set up will go a lot easier and quicker too. For some reason I tried dutch buckles on my son's HH and it kept slipping, worked fine at home though so not sure what the problem was.

    Any suggestions?

    Thanks,
    Zig

    Welcome to the Hang!

There are a few options for double-hanging. One that sounds interesting is hanging between two wide trees with the hammocks slung on on the sides.

Could it be that you didn't have the Dutch buckles set up right?

lol, I must have been reading or watching too many things from Dutch! I actually meant cinch buckles/descender rings with the stock HH suspension.
