I camped at the end of a portage right after a big rainstorm at night.
Since everything was wet, the trees in this case
I didn't do my "stress test" where I bounce up and down a bit
as this was only about a 4" tree I was tied to.
I didn't feel like bringing down all that rain in the trees ...
but I should have .....
after eating dinner I got into my hammock and .......
you guessed it, one of the 4" trees was dead and caved in and
Onto the ground I ended up!
and so, I had to redo my camp, again, in the dark (as usual).
It was the only dead tree in that stand of trees, go figure.
