What suspension do you suggest when weight is not an issue?

I have an ENO DoubleNest and was using the slap straps pro but want to use something else. I was thinking about getting the "complete whoopie sling suspension setup" on jacks r better. Is there a better/easier setup that any of you know about? Keep in mind I am new to hanging. Any input is greatly appreciated.

If you want to source it all from one place, it's hard to do better than the above recommended system from Arrowhead Equipment. Webbing, buckles and chain link to attach it to the hammock. Only item missing is a Dutch Clip or carabiner for the tree end.

Yep if you don't care about the weight this is by far the easiest.

This setup is what I use. Tree-Webbing-rings-carabiner-hammock. I can easily clip/unclip the carabiner to the rings and just leave it on the webbing. I'm a noob as well, I may try and use whoopies in the future but for now it's webbings and hardwares because they're fun and looks cool. I can see how amazed the ground dwellers on how fast I setup and take down my hammock.

Whoopies are for the gram counters. You want cinch buckles and webbing. Have a looksee at the Crazy Creek thread that is stickied at the top of this board.

You can't get easier than a Dutch clip and elephant trunk on webbing. Certainly not lightweight as you will end up having between 20-30ft of webbing on your hammock depending upon trees in your area.

I agree with the others, don't get me wrong, I like the whoopie sling setup, but I just tend to stay with my webbing setup and it's plenty simple and plenty light for my needs.

I am a cord guy myself, but that's because I carry it on my back.

The easiest to use set-up is I think straps, some hardware at the tree (Dutch clips or carabiners), and either cinch buckles or a pair of descending rings.

point, set, match.

I just switched out my stock suspension for the All in one by http://www.whoopieslings.com/ It's great! Easy to install and easy to use. I'm not an ultra-light hanger, I just don't see the need to carry EXTRA if I don't have to! My 2 cents.
