    Amarillo Tx(Palo Duro Canyon)

I was able to spend Monday night over at Palo Duro Canyon State park.
Tomorrow I am gonna go back, that place is just fine. You gotta look but there is tons of places to hang.
My hammock, sleeping bag, and Jetboil (less the fuel) made it past TSA screening out of
    HOU.
Once I get back I'll get the pics posted.
    Any hammock folks around here.

Until I see awesome hammock-ful pictures to prove otherwise, I will continue to believe Texas is nothing but millions of square miles of flat, ugly scrubland

ready to see some texas hennessy pictures!
Dale Gribble: I'm thinking, "new hammock." For me, laying and swaying in a hammock is like a steady morphine drip without the risk of renal failure.

Randy : yea but just remember yer roots and where ya come from....you got Hennessy in yer blood son......

It's a very cool place, (well, not in the temperature sense). We were there briefly doing a recon on the way back from Colorado and I saw a few places to hang. More likely a good place for a Turtlelady Stand though.

There is zero cell or wireless connection down in the canyon. I'll try to figure out a way to upload pics.

I'm close, as far as 'closeness' goes out here in west Texas. It's about a four hour drive away for me.
