It depends on what you use them for. They are (even if only in the one small way) more functional

Looks like a great way to attach a structural ridgeline to a hammock to keep it always on and still be able to use different types of suspensions

make it longer in the middle and you could use it to attach 2 dogs to the same leash.

Well I still dare you to show me a real good reason to make one.

In the meantime, with a name like that, I have to go make some now.

YES. i've outfitted my wbbb with a detachable ridgeline for chair-mode using a single nacrabiner... this would prevent me from ever losing that crucial connector!

awwe.... the tender-biner, makes me feel all warm and fuzzy.

Tenderbiner - Locked Brummel Instead of Second Stopper Knot

I made a second pair of Tenderbiners this morning.

I threw a locked brummel after the "tail" exits the bury on both sides (bottom right of the first biner side and bottom left of the second biner side). It makes for a cleaner look.

    Here they are -

I updated the specs in the OP.

If you go with locked brummels rather than stopper knots, you may need to tweak the lengths of the loops as 15 inches gives you shackles larger than real handcuffs (the extra inches get eaten up with the stopper knots so, if you decide to go that route, keep them 15 inches).

I also preferred 1 inch between the shackles rather than the 3 inches I suggested in my first pair.

Tweak the dimensions, make a pair, or just ponder why the heck you would ever need a pair.

I must have one if only to confuse my friends with it.
