Any experience with a 3 season incubator on a blackbird?

I am considering buying an underquilt. I get cold easy so I want a full length underquilt. Right now I use a BA inflatable pad with the insulation and it works well for me. However, I do periodically slip off and as you know, you don't get far off your insulation in cold weather without waking up real quick. I just haven't had as much comfort from synthetics as down in may sleeping gear so I am looking for a down quilt. I love my blackbird and would like to make sure the quilt is compatible. This is my first underquilt so any suggestions are welcome. BTW, I have read this forum tirelessly and sometimes feel more confused, but better educated!!! Thanks for all the good info.
    Jeff.

PS Also curious about weight and volume of packing for those that carry a hammock, tarp, topquilt and underquilt. Seems like that would fill my pack pretty quick.

    Hi Jeff,
I use a HG 3S incubator with my wbbb. They fit perfect. Shug has a great video on the proper hanging of an UQ I'd recommend you check that out. Sorry don't have the link.
Ive been down to 20F with a 3S TQ and was very warm. I plan to use my 3S incubator and 3S TQ for my winter hammock quilts.
I'll just add synthetic overpants and a down jacket with hood and gloves.

Here is a picture of my 3 season incubator on my Traveler but it fits on the WBBB just as nicely. Ive been into the teens with my 3 season incubator and been toasty warm. Its a great piece of gear and you can even choose what colors you want, if you want it to be over stuffed a little bit to keep you a bit more toasty if you choose. I got mine without over stuff and find it to be just fine. As for back size you can pack them down pretty small but I just stuff them into my pack and let the quilts fill in the dead space. People always give me funny looks cause my pack always looks like it's stuffed to the brim

Sometimes I like to hike and think, And sometimes I just like to hike.

Hiking is'ent about waiting for the storm to pass its about learning to hike in the rain.
