    Bug Nets?

I need a bug net, but I do not want to spend like 50 bucks on the eno one. So can anyone recomend me a good bugnet.

If you can sew, there are net options you can make for less than $20...

All the commercially available ones I can think of are all around that price point. I think making it yourself is the only way to get one a lot cheaper.

Heck, some wide Tulle for less than $2/yd, some safety pins and a few rocks and you could make a usable bugnet without sewing...

It'd take me about 2 hours to make one from the right netting... it's not that hard to sew if you have access to a machine.

That said, once you do a DIY project you'll want to do another... it's a slippery slope...

Look at some REI products, such as this one for $24. That includes more than 7 yards of material, already treated with somthing like Permethrin, good for many washings or a long season, to repell insects

If you are not at risk to midges, REI has others for as little as $16.

I hope a DIY with knowledge of the REI materials will comment. Seems an inexpensive source of netting here, and in others from REI.

I have one of the Hammock Bliss No-Seeum-No More Cacoons and they are very well made and $35, just a little on the heavy side (17 oz). I only say used to use because I made my own somewhat copying the design, but less than half the weight.
