here ya go..........this picture was taken before I cut the excess off. It also shows what my ENO looks like with a ridgeline installed and my "one pole" hammock stand. The loose translation on the latin sig is "if you want peace, prepare for war".........

I just made a bug tube ala http://www.hammockforums.net/forum/s...highlight=sock. I used 7 yards of no-see-um instead of the net he starts with. And I made the foot end only open up about 4". It's almost a Sgt. Rock Bug Sock I just didn't make it taper at the foot end. I still may taper it at some point.

If you don't try due to fear of failure you've already failed due to fear.

Thanks for the comments and yes it is very light. Actually that is a freebie light from batteryjunction.com that I got when I ordered a bunch of small Figure 9's. I also have both of the lights you mention and like them both. Hard to call on which one I would like more.

    the HUG

Check out the HUG bug net. I found it right here on this forum. It worked great in the ADKs this spring when the black flies were out in full.

I didnt use any ribbon on the edges, just a rolled hem. I used omni tape at the top to hold it to my ridgeline. After I get into my hammock and bag, I tuck the edges of the bug net under my bag. Packs very small and light, I think there is only 1 1/2 yards or so of no-see-um netting. I didnt measure. but it fits into my 5x6" ridgeline pouch when I pack it all up.

The guardian net is not the most big feller friendly and it seems a bit confining as well.

papasmurf who is a member and can search for his name/website also makes a bug net that would work. i think ROOK also did a nice review on it. his reviews are in his signature. i believe you will need to add a ridge line to the eno in order to support it.

I really got to get out there and give it a try, I may just use a head net and a sleeping bag at first.
