    Gulf Hagas Maine

I spent the weekend at the Katahdin Iron Works/Gulf Hagas area in Maine camping with a large group of friends. I was the only hanger. When people saw my WBBB, they offered me a spare tent lol. They did not seem to believe that the hammock was more comfortable than ground camping.

This was my third weekend out in my hammock, and I am really digging it. It has kept me bone dry through storms on all of the trips that I've used it on, and it's far more comfortable than the ground.

Now I just need to figure out how to get a few pictures loaded here to show some proof.

The tall skinny waterfall is Screw Auger Falls. The wider one is Buttermilk Falls. The last picture is from the summit of Whitecap Mountain looking to Mt Katahdin, but you can barely see it through the haze.

We were there a couple of years ago but didn't get to do much exploring. We'll be going back.
Most of us end up poorer here but richer for being here. Olddog, Fulltime hammocker, 365 nights a year.
