First of all thanks to HF member WV for telling me about posting here...I'm still new to this.... This is a two part video of my first solo hike with my dog. All I can say is it was one to remember........and I loved every minute.

Those guys passed me and crossed the river and probably camped where I was going to go but there was another family(Mom,Dad, and Son) that crossed a camped near me. I guess they were (planning) to stay another night so I guess no big deal they were stuck. I finally got out @ 5:30pm and hiked 12.5 miles total trip.......My wife was worried cause she expected me to call @ 11 or 12.

I found these videos by accident in the HF Video Directory today - glad I did. They're worth watching all the way through. "Interesting" conditions; good sense and adaptability by maztrain brought both him and his dog home safely.

Beautiful area, amazing adventure. Way to play is smart and enjoy. That bridge looked pretty good to me after all those water shots. I can only imagine what it looked like to you!

Glad you had a successful trip. Thanks for overcoming your fear of heights for a shot from the tower. That was pretty cool...

Thanks...I'm glad you all enjoyed it. I'm still new to this whole hiking and hammocking stuff. We just started getting into Backpacking about two years ago but all I can say is that............... My name is Dewayne and I'm a Hikaholic.... and I'm also addicted to hammocks.
