    Spyderline questions

I was going to place an order but I didn't need but about 10 feet of the rope. APS told me that they have a minimum of a 10 dollar shipping charge. The shipping cost more than my actual order.
So here is my question. I am making a double layer with cinch buckles. I have about 10 feet of spyderline that is the very small diameter (I think 3/32). Would this be ok to use to whip my hammock and attach it to the buckles using the method Just Jeff recommends on his site? Isn't that a lot of stress on such small rope? Any other recommendations on what I could use?

That size would be okay for whipping the hammock but I don't know if I would try hanging using that small of a piece of line. JMHO.

Yeah, HC4U is right. The 3/32" Spyderline is only rated to 350lbs tensile strength. It would be okay for holding the whipping, but I would not use it for connecting to the suspension.

If you only want 10 feet, PM me and I'll mail you some Lash-It Dyneema cording. I've got a couple of spools, and it's more than strong enough.

You might try emailing them. Sometimes places will put it in an envelope for a buck or so for small orders.

I spoke with them, no go. I'm going to see if I have enough of the larger diameter laying around, otherwise I may pm you.
