Great video! Cooking right on the fire has become my favorite way but I dont know about carrying the chunky soup in the can Reminds me of a time years ago that one of my brothers went on a hiking trip and complained all the way to camp about the pack. To make a long story short he had lots of canned food in the pack.
Wags probably can afford the weight luxury with his lightweight setups
One thing I noticed is the UQ was pulled towards the ends more than up. That caused the ends to be short. This is one of the reasons I came up with the triangle things. You don't need the triangles, just go with prussiks on your ridgeline and attach the corners of the UQ to those. Start out about 6" from each end of hammock and ajust angle of pull from there. If you are in a big asym hammock use a prussik for each corner of UQ on the ridgeline and you can really fine tune the angle of the UQ. Pulling upwards allows the UQ to wrap to hammock and I think you will find the UQ will work great. You will also find that the end shockcords will not need to be pulled up that much
Keep the trip reports coming
I'm guessin' that was the "lite" Chuncky soup?
Nice trip and gear show. Love that HG Cuben Tarp!!

Nice Tr And Great Gear Esp Tarps!! Thanks For Posting.
lol that's awesome fin. your best vid yet! we had a blast on that overnighter...
no way did i carry that can of soup hangnout! that thing weighed more than my big 4 i think
I think the soup weighed more than my hammock, tarp, and possibly UQ combined.
