    Parachute-Cord.com

Iīve found this vendor that sells parchute cord at really great prices but I canīt find out if they ship abroad (Europe).

    http://www.parachute-cord.com/

I canīt find any email adress either, the only thing I can find is a phone number but since I donīt speak english very well i donīt fancy giving them a call to ask.

Does anyone out there know if they can ship to Europe?

I'm sure they (and others) can sell you longer lenghts. They probably buy 1000 ft rolls (or bigger) and cut whatever length the customer wants. But they probably don't show it in their web store.

I guess you have to ask for quotes. However, the shipping might be expensive for such a large and heavy item.

Due to producton economies, name-recognition, and price, "parachute cord" or "550" seem to be attractive ropes, but it is hard to see how they are the best for campers.

In order to have good safety margins, you will need to double up your mai lines, doubling the initial outlay cost and already substantial weight. Then, there's the response to water (and stretch.) Even aside from ultra high-tensile strengths synthetics, rope makers offer other, superior options for the sailing and nautical industies.

But, if Para 550 is what you want, be careful that the quality is what you think it is.
