Sounds like I may plan for 2 hours and hope that we do it quicker. This does let me know that I will need to have lunch on the trail for my "critters" though. Thanks for the help.

I want to say that it was roughly 1 mile from the bridge at Burrells Ford where we parked to the beach campsite. The trail bridge over the East Fork was just a quarter mile or so past that. I think that would put Ellicott Rock about 1-1.5 miles further down the trail from the bridge over the East Fork. Does that sound right?
"The Road goes ever on and on,
Down from the door where it began.
Now far ahead the Road has gone,
And I must follow, if I can.
Pursuing it with eager feet
Until it joins some larger way
Where many paths and errands meet.
And whither then? I cannot say."

I know ther are also 2 - 3 waterfalls nearby. Does the trail from the general camping ara to Ellicot's rock go near any water falls?

You will pass Spoonauger Falls on the way in. It's 0.1 mile off the trail...straight up.
Kings Creek Falls is probably the nicest one close by. It's one mile from the Burrell's Ford Campground parking lot. The trail starts in the northeastern corner of the lot.
Pictures of both are in the original posting.

Its been years since I have been to Burrels Ford. I looked at your map in the first post. It looks like both falls are the opposite direction from the camp site than Ellicot's rock.
Estimate to Ellicots rock was 1 hour maybe 2 one way.
Time back to the water falls is about 45 minutes to an hour one way????
Thanks
