Hello, I'm New!

Hello everyone! My name is Joslyn and I'm a brand new convert from Backpackinglight.com and big into MYOG. On the trail my name is Sunshine and I write a blog called ULB or Bust, http://ulborbust.wordpress.com/. I'm still pretty new to backpacking as a whole but I'm really excited to try hammocking. I had dismissed the idea as unrealistic for a sidesleeping gram weenie like myself, but between Shug's awesome and oh so entertaining videos and very encouraging BPL members, I was won over. So hello I'm very excited to be trying this new side to backpacking and look forward to joining the community of hangers!

Welcome to the forum Sunshine! Once you get off the ground, you won't be disappointed! BTW, I sleep fine on my side in a hammock.

Welcome aboard from Florida, Sunshine. As far as side sleeping, I go from back to side every night, no problem. It will take a little while to get your head around all of the DIY here. Enjoy the fun!
