Essentially, doors only need to stop wind and windblown rain/snow so I went with a lighter fabric.
I used wash in TX direct, not the spray. As an indicator to how water resistant its made them, they will hold lots of water.
I've left the doors pegged out horizontally and they have completely filled with rain-probably over a gallon and only dripped through the fabric very slowly. I have only treated them once, a year ago. They are still as good now. They dry out incredibly quickly too.
TX direct will only make gear water resistant, not waterproof like diluted silicone but I don't think waterproof doors are ever really needed as the rain won't drip inside.

I've done probably 50 nights under this tarp with doors so its well tested.
