The weather is amazing. I just finished up working days. I have been enjoying these cool mornings.
i think i'm sleeping outside this weekend.
I think I might join in on that.
Me and the wife is gonna do our best to be there. It'll be our first group hang also.
Hope ya'll ain't gonna hike too far.(--for the wife's sake )
I'll need directions as well when you can post 'em.
Finally some hangers in our state, yea!! --Looking forward to it.
I will be posting the information this weekend, brief information describing the trail and directions. There is nothing planned as far as distance. A few may stay set up at the base camp and only do a day hike. There are some short loops for those who do not want to venture far. Be looking for the last update this weekend. Can't wait to meet you. If you like, PM me with any specific questions.
I'll be with you all in spirit. Have a great hang!
I'll be in the Louisiana/Mississippi area the following weekend visiting family, so it seems I'll be about a week late to hang with all you fine folks.
I just returned home from a pleasant ride. I have been needing to get some mileage measurements for assisting those who need directions to the October hang. I took a few moments to sit under the moonlight at the place we will have our base camp. It was cool with a light breeze. The only sounds were crickets, frogs, and the wind blowing through the trees. I hated to leave. I have all of the mileages and will post all of the information this weekend. If tonight is an example, it is going to be a great get together. I found a place in Cottonport that makes a very rare and traditional Louisiana food staple that I am planning to bring. It is Louisiana's answer to livermush. You will not want to miss it. Stay tuned.
I'm excited!
