I have had numerous PM's concerning where . . .

The base camp will be at the Evangeline Camp on Messina Road. Everyone will decide on where to hike from there. Messina Road is off West Louisiana Highway 28. I will have full details posted in a few weeks.

The Kisatchie website used to have the trail brochure on it. I cannot find it since they have redesigned the site.

Coming into Alexandria on I-49 from either direction, you want to take the MacArthur Drive exit. West La Hwy 28 runs off of MacArthur Drive. Messina Road will be the first left after passing Chandler's Geocery.

ARRRRGHHHH,

That is the weekend I have already committed to a canoe trip in MO.

Looks as if I will have to wait until spring.

The map is fine. The only thing that I see that is questionable is Hwys 165/71, MacArthur Drive, is labeled Jefferson Highway. I will double check on that. As I work out from Alexandria there may have been a name change I am not aware of. Thanks.
