    Hammock stand plans

What do you think about this hammock stand? Wouldn't look too bad in my bedroom...

It looks gigantic and heavy, yet strong and stable. I suggest searching the forums for hammock stands as there are many smaller and more portable stands that members have built.
I'm partial to this one, enough so that I made one. It fits in a ski bag, so easy to transport and easy to store.

I'd have to agree. Normally I don't like the look of a stand indoors but that one creates a different visual impression. Just realize that it's BIG.

At $1.50 for the plans, how can you go wrong?

I would personally deck the bottom to avoid a fall on the cross members if a fall were ever to occur.

The stand appears to be made to hang a spreader bar Hatteras Hammock...it will likely be too long and too low for a gathered end, camping style hammock.
