Welcome to the group,
I recently came across a new tent stake that I am interested in trying out but I don't really have any use for it. It is called Tough Stake. It says that it is for sand and snow. Pretty cool design, the tether comes from the bottom of a shovel shaped stake. Love to hear from any one if it works.

My hammock finally arrived here in Cyprus today but i will have to wait until tomorrow when i start my leave to try it out in the garden but i can't wait. I think i may have to take a trip up into the mountains very soon. Photos to follow

I may have some business in Cyprus sometime this year (near Paphos)...would love to hear about the hiking over there (or is hillwalking the term?)

Tenaya, there is some great places up on the Troodos mountains for hiking/hillwalking.

I have spent two nights in my hammock in the back garden and it was comfortable and cool but the wife started to feel neglected. My uncle and parents are out from the UK for a visit and i don't have enough space indoors so i am graciously allowing my uncle to sleep outside in my Hammock.

For those interested i have posted some photos of Cyprus in my gallery and will post more when i am out and about with my hammock.
